National Trade Publication Recognizes Oatey Associate and Social Media Ambassadors as Next Generation All-Stars

The second annual class of Next Generation All-Stars recognizes the Top 20 young professionals in the plumbing industry who are elevating the stories of trade professionals.

CLEVELAND, SEPTEMBER 26, 2023 — Oatey Co., a leading manufacturer in the plumbing industry since 1916, is proud to announce that Oatey associate Sean Comerford and Oatey Social Media Ambassadors Shay Lorette, Colin Luttrell and Evan Berns have been recognized as Next Generation All-Stars by Plumbing & Mechanical magazine. The Next Generation All-Stars list features the top 20 young professionals to watch in the plumbing industry, recognizing the skills, tenacity and optimism they bring to the plumbing profession.

“Although the industry is aging, many young professionals are refining and redefining their craft and making a difference,” writes Nicole Krawcke, chief editor of Plumbing & Mechanical, in the September 2023 issue. “They’re bringing new ideas and strategies to overcome challenges and meet demand in their respective markets.”

Social media influencers Evan Berns and Shay Lorette have created large followings by providing educational content for DIY-ers, prospective professionals, and seasoned plumbers. They have garnered 38.1 million views on TikTok and 23.2 million on YouTube, respectively.

Influencer and business owner Colin Luttrell has impacted his community early in his career. Awarded recognition as the number one plumber in his city, Luttrell is known for providing excellent plumbing work and even better customer service. His social media involvement continues to grow his influence in the community.

Oatey associate Sean Comerford is Technical Applications Manager and a third-generation tradesman with nearly 20 years of plumbing experience, including serving as the lead plumber for commercial/residential new-construction, service, and fire protection jobs. Today, Comerford serves as an applications expert for Oatey, providing expertise on product usage and installation technique for Oatey’s marketing team and other cross-functional partners, helping sure Oatey’s products are properly represented in all channels.
